PERTH AMBOY SCHOOL
Concept | 2005
Beyond the typical school orientation, the competition design for a new high school in Perth Amboy, New Jersey was conceived from placing various programmatic and educational zones throughout the campus zone. Based not by stacking the programmatic spaces, but by creating a programmatic landscape of zones, the form of the building is a reaction to the form created by the new layout. Acting as a tensile surface that wraps the building, the skin of the school forms pressure points for circulation and corridors.
