DIRIMART GALLERY
Dirimart’s first international location outside of Istanbul is an exciting addition to the vibrant gallery scene of Mayfair, located between iconic Hyde Park and Soho. Dirimart occupies 300 square meters on the ground floor and lower level of 23 Princes St., in a historic building dating to 1895.
studioMDA’s gallery design embodies our philosophical approach to the artworld, promoting literal and institutional transparency. The gallery street front features two large windows with sightlines into the main ground floor galleries. Visitors enter into a lobby fitted with a welcome desk and library alcove, featuring books on Dirimart’s artists and past exhibitions.
While retaining gallery visibility from the street, the partial walls that form the library and reception areas produce a threshold, defining the lobby and the main gallery space within. The galleries feature ceilings with a maximum height of 3.40m (10’8”), cast in place concrete floors, and state of the art lighting systems.
Exhibition space, private viewing rooms, offices, and storage are on the lower level.
