studioMDA is designing a new residential building and gallery on 85 Franklin St. located in Tribeca, a Landmark’s district. The studioMDA designed space expands on an existing two-story building, making the building seven stories. The facade of the original two-story building will be restored, with a geometric, stainless steel facade for the newly built stories. The facade derives its geometric form from site lines surrounding the existing building.
